Know-How from experience
Our products at a glance
-
Bosch has been producing in-line fuel injection pumps since 1927. They ensure high cylinder power for 2- to 12-cylinder engines and are still used today for commercial, construction and agricultural machines as well as stationary engines.
-
For large diesel applications such as marine propulsion systems, special requirements apply with regard to the robustness, reliability and durability of the diesel pumps. These pumps have been designed based on decades of experience in the diesel industry and the marine sector.
-
The PF single injection pumps are particularly maintenance-friendly. They have been preferably used in the off-highway segment. They possess the same operating principle as the PE in-line fuel injection pump. They have a pump element, in which the injection volume can be changed by means of a control notch.
-
Small, fast-running diesel engines require an injection system with high performance capability, fast injection cycles, low weight and small installation volume. Distributor injection pumps satisfy these requirements.
-
The pump-nozzle injection system, also known as the unit injector system (UIS), is an electronically controlled system developed by Bosch for direct diesel injection. It is suitable for cars and light-duty commercial vehicles with a cylinder capacity of up to 5 litres and engine performance of 300 HP, and was first installed in 1998 in a series-produced car and truck.
-
With conventional diesel injection systems, it is necessary for the fuel pressure for each injection to be generated separately. With the common rail system, in contrast, pressure generation and injection are separated, so that the fuel is permanently available for injection with the required pressure.
-
The mechanical petrol injection system was developed based on an idea by Robert Bosch. A defined quantity of fuel is injected into the combustion chamber (direct injection) or suction chamber (manifold injection) in a defined time by means of a piston pump (pump element).
-
Jetronic is a petrol injection system for petrol engines invented by Bosch. Starting in the 1960s, various Jetronic versions came on the market over the years. The K-Jetronic version was particularly widespread.
