Michael Lowak (Head of the Serial Products Department) introduces himself:
Michael Lowak's career path began with the decision to start an apprenticeship at Koller + Schwemmer. Since then, his opinion of the company has not changed. Koller + Schwemmer offers secure jobs and promotes the individual strengths of each person.
In 2001, Michael began his apprenticeship as an automotive electronics technician. The good reputation of the training program as well as the offer of a secure job after completing his apprenticeship convinced him of Koller + Schwemmer. In 2004, Michael began his journey from apprentice to value stream manager in the automotive workshop. After six months, he switched to the diesel injection systems department. From 2008 to 2014, he successfully took over the team leader of this department. After these six years, he was offered the position of production planner. The management had recognized his potential and so he was able to gain a lot of experience for the different products of the company in the following years. In support of this, he received further training as well as the freedom to design processes and to carry out his activities. He was also able to gain additional experience in personnel management, as he took over the disciplinary management for seven employees.
From this position, Koller + Schwemmer's typical value stream organization developed. An interface between the different areas. Michael was significantly involved in the development and design. In the meantime, Michael leads a team of 29 employees. In particular, his foresight and his affinity for production processes helped him to achieve this.
"My potential was recognized and thus my strengths were promoted. In particular, the corporate philosophy offers special opportunities: The company doesn't set the operational framework too tightly, so it actively promotes the creative work I want to do."
For Michael, Koller + Schwemmer stands for multifaceted. It is flexible and pragmatic! At the same time, it maintains an enormously high level of quality. But the interaction with employees is also very important to him. This makes it possible at Koller + Schwemmer to actively shape the corporate culture and get involved in the company. As an employee, fears and desires are perceived, there is open cooperation and interaction at eye level.
Reem Al Najjar (Project Buyer) introduces herself:
Reem started out as a mandatory intern at Robert Bosch GmbH in Nuremberg during her bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. This gave her insights into technical topics such as digitalization and Industry 4.0. After her internship, Reem also wanted to get to know the economic side of a company and started working as a working student in the purchasing department at Koller + Schwemmer. Since Koller + Schwemmer is a subsidiary of Bosch, similar systems are used here, which made it particularly easy to familiarize herself. During her time as a working student, she mainly provided support in the operational business. Due to her excellent performance, she was taken on by Koller + Schwemmer and has since been working as a project buyer. Reem was supported and encouraged in the best possible way during her start by relevant training for her area of responsibility, the correct use of systems and programs, as well as regular participation in English courses. At Koller + Schwemmer, she particularly appreciates the small team, which allows her to actively contribute her ideas and develop freely. By always facing new challenges, the work remains diverse, and thanks to the trust of her supervisor, she is able to take on more and more responsibility.
"What I really like about Koller + Schwemmer is the family atmosphere in the team, the openness to new ideas, and the corporate culture."
Reem feels valued as an employee and is always motivated to take on new challenges at work.
Patrick Jungmeier (Head of Finance Department) introduces himself:
In 2011, Patrick Jungmeier began his training as an industrial manager at Koller + Schwemmer. The company made a special impression due to its closeness to the applicants. During his internship at Koller + Schwemmer, he found out that the company was a good fit for him. This allowed him to incorporate his personal preferences into the decision-making process. After his apprenticeship, he took over the management of the accounting department in 2016. When accounting and controlling were merged in 2018, his team expanded.
In particular, the close cooperation and consultation have helped him achieve his professional goals:
"It was a cooperation in which my wishes were taken into account just as much as the conditions from the company side."
Training, seminars and further education as well as attending evening school were supported. Patrick also reported that the company invested a lot of time in the individual personalities.
At Koller + Schwemmer, there are flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths. This creates enormous flexibility, which Patrick Jungmeier appreciates as a manager. Special about Koller + Schwemmer is the depth of the work. He has insight and responsibility for the individual activities within a process in accounting. At the same time, as an employee at Koller + Schwemmer, he enjoys all the benefits of being part of the Bosch Group, which is a rare combination.
